4 Benefits of a HiiT workout
It may be tempting to miss a workout if you’re short on time, but you really don’t need to spend hours in the gym to see results. By prioritizing your time you can plan your workout to be as efficient and effective as possible, therefore HIIT is a great way to do this. HIIT stands for High-intensity interval training, which refers to the short bursts of intense exercise alternated with low-intensity recovery periods.
1. Burn more fat
In addition to the fact that you burn more calories during a HIIT exercise, however, the impact of all that extreme effort kicks your body’s fix cycle into hyperdrive. That implies you burn more fat and calories in the 24 hours after a HIIT exercise than you do after, say, a run.
2. Strengthen your cardiovascular activity and boost endurance
During HIIT workouts you’ll both increase your heart rate and oxygen consumption. This will help strengthen and improve your heart and cardiovascular activity. This will mean in future you can build up a tolerance to work out longer and feel much fitter.
3. Never get bored
With a range of different HIIT exercises, it’s unlikely you’ll become bored or stuck for choice any time soon! Therefore it’s recommended you change up your workout every 4-6 weeks, try searching Instagram or Youtube for some exercises routines. 4. Customize your workouts
You don’t have to limit yourself to just running or biking with High-Intensity Interval Training. You can pick any cardio-based exercise and make it an interval workout. For example, you could do as many burpees as you can in 30 seconds, take 45-second intervals in between then the next day you can switch it up to biking or aerobics.
